Love it!
I love this product. It came quickly, looks great, and has held up for a while now. It does need to be dusted, that's the only maintinance. We kind of just attached it to our bed hap-hazardly, and it's been very sturdy. Definitely recommend this product! -

I have been looking for a tall headboard for my kingsize bed. I fell in love with the headboards the Kimpton hotel, The Allegro in Chicago, used to have in their rooms. I think they were about 6 foot tall.

I've seen some beds that have a padded fabric headboard. They look easy to make. Has anyone ever made one? Was it really as easy as it looks?
its extremely easy. you need cheap foam which you can tack on with gorilla glue then get fabric and buttons and using a very heavy weight stapler, you can tuft in where the buttons will go. lastly glue on or sew on those buttons. good luck.

Types of Upholstered HeadboardsThere are the following types of upholstered headboards:

Popular styles include traditional, midcentury modern and contemporary. The type of wood base you select is based on the thickness of the headboard you would like. The materials used are usually a wood base that is made of 3/4 “plywood or MDF. The wood base can also be made of 1 x 4 or 2×6 spruce frame covered with webbing or ½” to ¾” plywood. If you are creating an upholstered inset to an existing wood headboard then a ½” base is sufficient to upholster. To create the base draw the design on the plywood and then cut it out with a jig saw. The base is covered with foam and/or batting and then the decorative fabric. Begin stapling at the center of all four sides and then work your way out to the edge. Piping, button tufting, runching or decorative nail heads can be added.
